Reform vs Rehabilitate
These two terms are often confused: “reform” and “rehabilitate”. Both are used as synonyms in the construction sector, but they are not. Let's try to explain the difference.
Reform
When a reform is carried out, it is to improve the state of a home from an aesthetic point of view. Elements such as partitions, materials or facilities are modified or changed. These items are not in a poor state of preservation.
These changes could also have a reason to improve the distribution of housing.
Rehabilitation
When rehabilitation works are carried out, the elements to be modified or replaced do not present a correct state of conservation.
In addition to replacing partitions, materials and installations, it could also act on elements such as facades and roofs.
The improvement of thermal and acoustic insulation would also be part of the rehabilitation works.
