Rehabilitation of apartment in historic city center

Comprehensive refurbishment of a flat in the historic heart of the city of Santiago de Compostela. The action required the complete emptying of the flat given its poor state of conservation. However, the original flat beams and pontoons were preserved with a special treatment applied to them during the rehabilitation process. The pontoon structure was left exposed, giving the flat a very special vintage touch. In addition, combined this finish on the pontoons, with the modern design and finishes that were used in the house, give it a lot of personality.

During the rehabilitation process, the execution of the floor had to be modified from the initial project, due to the difficulties we encountered when executing the sewage falls. This issue  was solved with solvency. The execution of this type of comprehensive rehabilitation, in historical buildings where the state of conservation is precarious, requires that unforeseen events have to be addressed during the construction process, as this was the case.

The communication with the property, resident in Switzerland, was a great experience, since this rehabilitation is a second residence and required communication flow to solve the distance issue.
